Flipkart and TechnoServe: In a bid to make life better for more than 7,000 people involved in farming in two Indian states, the Flipkart Foundation, a part of the Flipkart Group, is joining hands with TechnoServe, a non-profit organization. Together, they’re launching a program to boost Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and create opportunities for farmers. This one-year project covers Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, training eight FPOs in Maharashtra and four in Andhra Pradesh. Their goal is to help over 7,000 people, including many women from farming families, lead better lives.
The project involves special workshops for FPO members. These workshops teach them about branding, marketing, and how to make their products look better on the market. They also learn about packaging, keeping food fresh for longer, and how to grow their businesses without harming the environment. Marketing experts are on hand to help the FPOs’ leaders and farmers with their strategies and any problems they might face.

Rajneesh Kumar, the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of the Flipkart Group, says this partnership with TechnoServe is about helping farmers and improving society. They want to give farmers in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh the knowledge and tools they need to grow their farms, be kind to the environment, and have better lives.
Krishnan Hariharan from TechnoServe India says many farmers struggle because they don’t know much about marketing, which means they don’t make much money. FPOs help them work together, but they could do even better with some help in marketing, branding, and packaging. That could help them sell more and lose less, making their farms more sustainable.
Flipkart, a big Indian online shopping company, believes in educating farmers. Through the Flipkart Foundation, they’re helping FPOs with marketing and branding advice. Their aim is to increase farmers’ incomes and support women in farming. By making FPOs stronger, they hope to help small farmers and rural communities.
